Apeksha draws inspiration from her experiences as a first-generation immigrant and her cultural heritage, but also gothic horror, vampires and fantasy. Much of her illustration practice involves combining all her different interests into cohesive visual projects that feel authentic to her. Most of her work is painting, relief printmaking or digital illustration, but she also loves to experiment with other mediums.
